An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Education Officer to join the team at Catholic Education Melbourne.

<p>Catholic Education Melbourne (CEM) is a dynamic education service provider to 335 Catholic primary, secondary and special schools in the Archdiocese of Melbourne. More than 450 staff work across the head office in East Melbourne and four regional offices in the North, East, South and West. CEM provides services to schools in areas as diverse as Curriculum, RE, Finance, ICT, Marketing and Communications, Student Wellbeing, Legal, Planning and Industrial Relations. This community is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care.</p><p><b>ABOUT THE POSITION </b></p><p>Based out of James Goold House, East Melbourne the Education Officer, Student Wellbeing (Policy) will demonstrate a commitment to the mission of Catholic education and a capacity to realise that mission in the context of the Catholic Education Melbourne’s (CEM) <a href="http://www.cem.edu.au/CatholicEducationMelbourne/media/About-Us/Documentation/Strategic-Plan-2015-19.pdf" rel="nofollow">ongoing strategy</a> which promotes strong, shared leadership and a culture of creativity and innovative practice. </p><p> The Education Officer, Student Wellbeing (Policy) will contribute to the development and review of policies and procedures to enhance engagement, participation, health and wellbeing outcomes of young people in Catholic schools within the Archdiocese of Melbourne. More specifically: </p><p> </p><ol><li>Apply subject knowledge to inform the design and delivery of evidence based initiatives to support the engagement, participation, health and wellbeing outcomes of young people in Catholic schools. </li><li>Undertake research and analysis to inform the development of papers, reports and briefs associated with student wellbeing initiatives and legislative reforms. </li><li>Provide a range of project management and support services to contribute to the development and delivery of student wellbeing initiatives and legislative reforms. </li><li>Liaise and collaborate with key stakeholders, working groups and committees to support the development and implementation of student wellbeing initiatives and legislative reforms. </li><li>Develop strategies to effectively analyse and utilise data to inform school improvement process. </li><li>Contribute to the development of online resources and guidance to support the implementation of student wellbeing initiatives and legislative reforms. </li></ol><p>Salary for this position is between $108,160 and $126,695 per annum, commensurate with relevant skills, qualifications and experience. Superannuation is contributed in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee Legislation in addition to this salary payment. Salary packaging arrangements are also available to staff of Catholic Education Melbourne. Professional working hours as well as annual leave of four weeks apply to this position.
