The successful applicant will have a passion for boys’ education, the ability to lead and inspire staff, excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, be committed to student success and have the capacity to contribute to the life of the students and the wider College community. The Director of Wellbeing has direct responsibility for the leadership of their Wellbeing Coordinators and Pastoral teams to enhance learning outcomes for students. This Three (3) point leadership position exists to lead, promote and support the learning, care and wellbeing of students, in collaboration with Wellbeing team members, teachers, support staff, specialist staff and other agencies as necessary.

<p>The College is seeking a Director of Wellbeing to lead the Wellbeing teams and be part of the Executive Team of the College. </p> <p><b>Essential Criteria: </b></p><p>• Demonstrated leadership ability related to the religious, educational, pastoral, academic and community dimensions of the College; in particular leadership in student wellbeing and pastoral care for improved student outcomes.<br /></p><p>• The ability to work effectively and enthusiastically to develop both knowledge and faith aspects of our students</p><p>• Demonstrated capacity to perform at Middle Leadership level including well-developed organisational, ICT and record management skills and the ability to lead and follow through with initiatives and directives.</p><p> • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills</p><p> </p><p>• Passion for and understanding of the College’s pastoral care and wellbeing approach and an ability to lead and develop effective initiatives.</p><p>• The ability to work strategically with the Wellbeing Coordinators, Faculty and Executive teams</p><p> • Demonstrable and sustained success as a classroom teacher and in a pastoral care role</p><p> • Experience in working in collaboration with students, their parents, teachers, staff and other support services to maximise student achievement, wellbeing and learning outcomes</p><p> </p><p>• Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills, including collaborative planning, communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to develop and maintain positive and professional relations.</p><p>• The ability to lead a growth-based model of student development, integrating learning and wellbeing, based on a positive approach to working with students and their families </p><p>• Evidence of a commitment to building a positive, innovative, successful and resilient Patrician College community, dedicated to the improvement of the experiences, lives and opportunities for our students.  </p><p>• Understanding of and ability to implement Sydney Catholic Schools Wellbeing and Student Management policies, guidelines and procedures</p><p>• Experience in implementing restorative justice, procedural fairness and working with families to support their children<br /></p><p><br /></p><p><b>Desirable Criteria:</b><br /></p><p> • A willingness to contribute to the development of the Catholic ethos and learning culture of the College</p><p> • Relevant professional development to this position </p><p>• Experience in successful strategic and organisational leadership<br /></p><p> • Successful experience in a Wellbeing leadership role</p><p> • Highly developed personal skills and credibility in building relationships and a sense of community amongst students, parents and staff.</p><p> </p> <p>• Appropriate tertiary qualifications and experience in education and wellbeing</p><p> • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement curriculum and education programs to meet the needs of students with complex needs; including an understanding of the effect of trauma and its effect on the capacity of young people to engage with education and learning.</p><p> • Understanding of the interface between the education and welfare sectors.</p><p> • The ability to work collaboratively, as part of a multi-disciplinary team approach to supporting young people. </p><p><br /></p><p>The successful applicant will be a dynamic and passionate educator with a Diploma of Education, qualifications in the area of student wellbeing and experience working in education with students who are at risk and have special needs and identified disabilities.<br /></p><p> </p> <p>Applicants for this position are asked to ensure the following documentation is submitted by the due date:</p> <p>1.
