Good Shepherd is a co-educational Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Sydney. It is a K-6 school serving the parish of Good Shepherd Hoxton Park. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a dynamic collaborative community committed to the growth of every learner.

<p><br />An effective classroom practitioner who is focussed on student growth and can model to colleagues creative, purposeful and engaging teaching and learning experiences for all students.</p><p>Essential criteria includes the demonstration of the following:</p><ul><li>have a sound knowledge of and commitment to the Evangelising Mission of the Catholic Church within Catholic Education</li><li>Religious Education qualifications according to the SACS Board Policy</li><li>a commitment to driving a purposeful vision for learning </li><li>the capacity to foster strong collaborative relationships</li><li>monitor and evaluate the implementation of teaching strategies within the school to improve student achievement (preferably in Mathematics) using research-based knowledge and data.</li><li>a deep understanding of how children learn and the principles of contemporary pedagogy (particularly in the Early Years)<br /></li><li>use the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers to support colleagues to identify and achieve personal development goals and pre-service teachers to improve classroom practice.</li><li>initiate and engage in professional discussions with colleagues in a range of forums to evaluate practice directed at improving professional knowledge and practice and the educational outcomes of students.<br /></li><li>work with colleagues to plan, evaluate and modify learning and teaching programs to create productive learning environments that engage all students.</li></ul><p>Successful completion of the registration process to teach in Sydney Catholic Schools is essential, which includes a Working With Children Check.</p>
