Education and Engagement Programs Coordinator - Maidstone, VIC

This role is a maternity leave cover role, based in Maidstone, VIC. Our successful applicant will be available to commence in February 2021 (until approx January 2022.)
<p><b>About the role </b></p><p>The primary role of the Education and Engagement Coordinator is to enhance the educational outcomes for children and young people who are disengaged, or at risk of disengaging from education; in particular, children and young people living in out-of-home care.
</p><p>
The Coordinator is responsible to ensure the programs deliver high quality services within a trauma informed framework. </p><p>
We are seeking a strong leader who will provide leadership, support, supervision and development to our valued Education Program staff, while always ensuring compliance with all program requirements and service agreements. </p><p><br /></p><p><b>Key Selection Criteria
</b></p><p>• Relevant tertiary qualifications, with higher studies in education preferred.
</p><p>• A commitment to ensuring child safety and compliance with all child safe standards.
</p><p>• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in improving educational outcomes for children and young people, at risk.
</p><p>• Demonstrated ability to work in the best interests of children and young people, with schools and education and government departments, including CEM, DET and DHHS.
</p><p>• A demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning to enable further development of skills, expertise and capacity, including providing high level professional coaching and mentoring.
</p><p>• Demonstrated understanding of the quality and policy frameworks underpinning education in Victoria, including the Victorian Curriculum Framework, and a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of contemporary developments in learning and teaching.
</p><p>• Demonstrated ability and experience in providing high quality educational experiences to young people with complex needs, including those who have experienced trauma, abuse and neglect.
</p><p>• Proven capacity to effectively manage a multi-disciplinary team and to strategically develop programs in accordance with Funding and Service Agreements.
</p><p>• A demonstrated ability to gather and analyse data to enhance educational for those accessing the programs.
</p><p>• A demonstrated ability to successfully manage resources and oversee the budget and financial operations.
</p><p>• Demonstrated high level written and oral communication skills.
</p><p>• High-level interpersonal skills, with a capacity to develop positive relationships with young people, carers and colleagues.
</p><p>• An understanding and commitment to the objectives and values of the organisation and a capacity to represent MacKillop Education, as required by the role.
</p><p>
