The College invites applications from well qualified, passionate and suitably experienced educators for this leadership position to commence Term 1, 2021. The Head of Student Wellbeing – Junior School (Years 4 - 6) will be a member of the Junior School Leadership Team. They will be responsible for student wellbeing and the efficient and effective operations and organisation of the school day.

<p>The Head of Student Wellbeing – Junior School (Years 4 - 6) will be a member of the Junior School Leadership Team. They will be responsible for student wellbeing and the efficient and effective operations and organisation of the school day. </p><p>The successful applicant will have a passion for boys’ education, the ability to lead and inspire staff, excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, be committed to student success and have the capacity to contribute to the life of the Junior School and the wider College community.</p><p>The position is classified under the Teachers (Daramalan College, Marist College Canberra, and St Edmunds College, Canberra) Enterprise Agreement 2018-2021, as amended or replaced. The position of Head of Student Wellbeing – Junior School attracts a reduced teaching load (2.5 days per week and rostered supervisions) and a salary at the level of Coordinator 1. The successful applicant will be expected to take up the appointment from Term 1, 2021.</p><p>Please refer to the Position Description document for full details. </p><p><b>Selection Criteria </b></p><p>If selected for interview, applicants will need to demonstrate: </p><p>• An understanding of and demonstrated commitment to the Catholic and Marist ethos of the College and its mission in Catholic education. </p><p>• Demonstrated leadership ability related to the religious, educational, pastoral, academic and community dimensions of the College; in particular leadership in student wellbeing and pastoral care for improved student outcomes. </p><p>• Demonstrated capacity to perform at Middle Leadership level including well-developed organisational, ICT and record management skills and the ability to lead and follow through with initiatives and directives. </p><p>• Passion for and understanding of the College’s pastoral care and well-being approach and an ability to lead and develop effective pastoral care initiatives. </p><p>• Effective student management skills. </p><p>• Exemplary teacher with a focus on individual student achievement and an educational vision in terms of effective learning and teaching practices. </p><p>• Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills, including collaborative planning, communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to develop and maintain positive and professional relations. </p><p>• Capacity to lead Junior School meetings, inspire and manage staff. </p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p>
