To this end, the Executive Director of Sydney Catholic Schools invites applications for the following leadership position:<br /> <br /> <strong>RELIGIOUS EDUCATION COORDINATOR</strong><br /> <br /> <strong>Location:</strong> St Francis of Assisi Regional Catholic Primary School Paddington<br /> <br /> <strong>Commencement Date: 27 January 2021</strong><br /> <br /> <strong>Closing Date:</strong> 10 November 2020<br /> <br /> As a member of the school leadership team, the Religious Education Coordinator shares responsibility for the development of the Catholic life of the school, leadership of its vision, mission and strategic priorities and contribution to the management of the school. The Religious Education Coordinator has delegated responsibility for the coordination and supervision of teaching and learning in Religious Education. This position requires an outstanding educator with a well-developed capacity to take forward the evangelising mission of Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Sydney.<br /> <br /> <strong>ABOUT THE SCHOOL</strong><br /> <br /> St Francis of Assisi Regional Catholic Primary is a one-stream school with 200 students, opened in 1883 by the Sisters of Charity. In 1999 St Francis of Assisi was opened as the only Regional Catholic School in the Archdiocese of Sydney. This consists of students from the nearby parishes of St Mary's Cathedral, Darlinghurst, Edgecliff, Elizabeth Bay, Church Hill and Paddington. At St Francis of Assisi we are inspired by our Patron Saint St Francis of Assisi and the charism of the Sisters of Charity which is reflected in our school motto, 'In Giving We Receive'. The charism of St Francis is to simply live the Gospel of Jesus Christ which is nurtured through opportunities in prayer, reflection and gratitude. The charism of the Sisters of Charity to share the love and concern of Christ is embraced through social justice initiatives.
