<p>The role of a classroom teacher at St Brigid’s is collaborative; working together with other teachers in teaching teams with a shared belief that collectively they can positively impact on the learning of students. </p><p><b><u>SPECIFIC CRITERIA </u></b></p><ul><li>Commitment to the Catholic ethos of the college </li><li>Passion for working with young people </li><li>Knowledge of and demonstrated experience teaching Years 7 - 12 PDHPE courses </li><li>The ability to work with other teachers in teaching teams </li><li>Agile, responsive, flexible and collaborative practitioner </li><li>Strong organisational and interpersonal skills </li><li>Capacity to create a motivating and engaging learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of all learners through varied teaching strategies and evidence-based pedagogical practices </li><li>Understanding of the Understanding by Design framework </li><li>Understanding of, and commitment to, a restorative practice approach to student wellbeing </li><li>A willingness to be involved in the extracurricular life of the College </li><li>The ability to teach Religious Education is an advantage </li></ul><p>Applicants who are not currently working in a Broken Bay systemic school must have a 4-year training qualification or be enrolled to undertake further study that will provide them with a four year trained qualification to be eligible to apply for any teaching position in the Diocese. </p><p>All applicants for teaching positions must complete a Teacher Application Form (available on our website) and include a letter addressing the essential/specific criteria for the position.
