All Saints Catholic College is a dual campus, co-educational K-12 Catholic College. The College has been formed by the amalgamation in 2019 of the three All Saints’ schools and was incorporated into a single K-12 school entity on two sites, Liverpool and Casula, at the beginning of this year. The school is proud to be a part of the Sydney Archdiocesan system of schools. Whilst 2020 has brought the dawn of a newly-named school community, Catholic education in the area has a long and rich history. Initially being overseen by the lay of the All Saints Parish, education changed with the introduction of the charisms of the Sisters of Charity and the Patrician Brothers. <h4>                                      LEADER OF LEARNING: HSIE (2 Points) </h4><h5>                                                              (Years 11-12) at the Casula Campus </h5><p> </p><p>Applications for this full-time/permanent position commencing January 2021 should be sent to the Campus Principal, Mr David Forrester. </p><p>The Leader of Learning: HSIE is a teacher appointed to a position of special responsibility at All Saints Catholic College who demonstrates strong support for the vision and mission of Catholic education, and assists the Campus Principal in facilitating the College’s educational, pastoral and evangelising mission in the Year 11-12 context of the school.   </p><p>The Leader of Learning: HSIE is delegated responsibility by the Campus Principal for the coordination and supervision of the HSIE faculty. The Leader of Learning leads the designated HSIE Team with a focus on the Annual School Review and Improvement agenda in order to enhance outcomes for students.   </p><p>Selection criteria: It is anticipated that applicants for this role will be able to demonstrate: </p><ul><li>a deep understanding and commitment in leading the mission and purpose of the Catholic school within the broader Catholic Church </li><li>a commitment to leading academic excellence and a strong knowledge of contemporary approaches to pedagogy, including the nature of assessment and differentiated learning </li><li>commitment to leading the development of a learning culture of shared responsibility for quality teaching and student learning growth, informed by data </li><li>an ability to lead innovation and creativity in a collaborative environment </li><li>a deep knowledge and understanding of education appropriate for the stage/s for which this role is responsible </li><li>a comprehensive understanding of NESA requirements </li><li>highly developed interpersonal skills, demonstrating an ability to effectively communicate with parents, students and staff </li><li>the capacity to empower students to be independent and creative learners </li><li>effective organisational and administrative practices </li><li>evidence of working effectively to achieve improvement within an area of responsibility </li><li>a capacity to lead and collaborate within a diverse team </li><li>a willingness to be involved in the extra-curricular life of the College </li></ul><p>The following General Capabilities are applicable to the role: </p><ul><li>well-developed oral and written communication skills </li><li>ability to work collaboratively in a team environment </li><li>strong organisational skills </li><li>appropriate accreditation to teach Religious Education (where required by the role), aligned in accordance with ‘Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools in the Sydney Diocese’ Policy or a commitment to gain such accreditation within the first contractual period </li><li>Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) </li><li>Sydney Catholic Schools’ employment number </li></ul><p>Applications should include the names and contact details of three referees who may be contacted as part of the shortlisting process.
