It is likely that the successful candidate will teach a Year 3 class, however a final decision about this will take into consideration candidate experience and timetable requirements for 2021. This is a 12-month contract, commencing 01 January 2021. </p><p> </p><p><b>About you: </b></p><p> </p><ul><li>You have demonstrated excellence in teaching within the Primary years with a high degree of teaching competence. While not essential, it would be advantageous to have experience teaching Year 3. </li><li>You possess excellent interpersonal skills and are able to communicate sensitively and confidentially with parents, students and other staff </li><li>You are able to build and maintain quality relationships in all aspects of your work </li><li>You are able to select and use appropriately, a wide range of teaching strategies to suit the needs of a diverse range of students.</li><li>You have experience in or awareness of contemporary and enquiry based learning frameworks</li><li>You are a highly organised and take pride in the planning and preparation of your classes </li><li>You have a demonstrated understanding of current issues in education and can implement strategies to ensure optimal learning outcomes </li><li>You embrace opportunities to reflect upon your professional practice and further develop your own skills and knowledge across a variety of different areas </li><li>You enjoy collaborating with multiple stakeholders and demonstrate effective communication and a solutions-oriented approach within this environment </li><li>You identify with St Peter’s professional behaviours of trust, accountability, unconditional positive regard and open communication and feedback and apply these in all that you do </li><li>You value contributing to diverse and inclusive communities and accept the responsibility to uphold the Christian Ethos, including core values of care, dignity &amp; respect.</li></ul><p>To apply, please submit your resume and cover letter via this link.
