Teachers within the Diocese are responsible to the Principal and shares in the learning and teaching of subject matters to students of the school community. Teachers are responsible for delivering high quality contemporary learning and teaching for the community they serve which is embedded in the Catholic world view. <p>The Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta is looking for a skilled, contemporary and passionate Secondary Mathematics Teacher to be part of our school community and enrich the lives of our students.</p> <p>Teachers within the Diocese are responsible to the Principal and shares in the learning and teaching of subject matters to students of the school community. Teachers are responsible for delivering high quality contemporary learning and teaching for the community they serve which is embedded in the Catholic world view. It is a collaborative ministry of witness and service and part of the evangelising mission of the Church.</p> <p dir="ltr">We invite applications from suitably qualified teachers who have an enthusiasm and love of mathematics along with a well developed capacity to support our Mathematics faculty to take forward the mission of Catholic Schools and to ensure high quality education to maximize learning outcomes for all students.&nbsp; The ability to teach Stage 6 Mathematics will be a distinct advantage.</p> <p dir="ltr">This is a permanent full-time position starting 2021.</p> <p><strong>Key focus areas</strong></p> <p>The Secondary Mathematics Teacher will fit the following criteria:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Sound knowledge of and commitment to our Catholic faith and mission in Catholic education.&nbsp; Accreditation to teach Religious Education desirable.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Effective interpersonal skills and collaborative teamwork.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">High quality classroom teaching skills which enable students with a diverse range of needs to achieve their full potential.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Ability to successfully implement and evaluate curriculum initiatives in accordance with NESA curriculum framework.</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>The Organisation</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta provides quality learning and teaching in a faith-centred environment across 83 primary and secondary schools and within early learning and out of school hours care centres in Western Sydney.&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr">This position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment including the completion of a National Police Check, retention of a valid Working with Children Check and adoption and compliance with CEDP’s Child Safeguarding Procedures and Code of Conduct When Working With Students and Children.</p> <p dir="ltr">CEDP promotes the safety and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, and children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds.
