The role of Counsellor is to provide a professional and confidential counselling service to students within a Christian framework.

<ul><li>Permanent part-time </li><li>0.5125FTE comprised of 22.5 hours per week and 41 weeks per year</li><li>3 days per week from 8.30am to 4.45pm </li><li>Lutheran Schools Officer Grade 5 </li></ul><p>In collaboration with the full-time Lead Counsellor, the Counsellor will provide a professional and confidential counselling service to Cornerstone College students within a Christian framework. Counselling at Cornerstone takes a person-centered, innovative and holistic wellbeing approach. We practice, teach, and promote emotion regulation and resilience.  <br /></p><p>Building on trauma-informed and restorative practice strategies, along with Dr Tom Nehmy’s Healthy Minds framework, the Counselling Team works against rescuing behaviours to embrace and validate all emotions, including those that are uncomfortable or distressing. </p><p>The role includes elements of counselling, triage, case management and support for the Lead Counsellor in proactive, psycho-educative work. </p><p> <a href="http://www.cornerstone.sa.edu.au" rel="nofollow"><b>www.cornerstone.sa.edu.au</b></a> for further details about Cornerstone College. </p><p> </p><p>Please read the attached Application Guidelines and Job Description.
