At the heart of all we do are our core values of empathy, curiosity, excellence, collaboration and truth.<br><br></p> <p dir="ltr">Reporting to the Supervisor: Research and Evaluation, this role is responsible for supporting school leaders to understand the principal standard and practices to improve school performance. The role will include creating opportunities for open and transparent communication with all stakeholders when designing, developing and delivering initiatives and responsibilities that build the capacity of leaders and enhance school improvement.<br> <br> <br> <strong>Major Accountabilities</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">The Education Officer: School Leadership Development is required to perform tasks which include but are not limited to:</p> <ul dir="ltr"> <li>Supporting the implementation of the Australian Professional Standard for Principals so leaders know, understand and what to do to succeed as a principal or school leader.</li> <li>Understanding and supporting leaders to know how Professional Practice describes the key elements of the principal or school leader role.</li> <li>Providing support services to stakeholders in the development, implementation, evaluation and reporting of outcomes of the School Review and Improvement Framework.</li> <li>Engaging in open and transparent communication with all stakeholders when designing, developing and delivering initiatives and responsibilities that build the capacity of leaders.</li> <li>Engaging in appropriate consultative and participatory practices with stakeholders to support the development of collaborative cultures across the system.</li> <li>Working collaboratively to develop online and other learning modules to support leadership development for coordinators, middle managers, assistant principals and principals.</li> <li>Continuously improving existing procedures and services through the reporting of the analysis and synthesis of inquiry and review data.</li> <li>Collaboratively developing and leading professional learning required by schools, including resources and support materials to enhance the School Inquiry and Review process.</li> <li>Accessing, analysing and interpreting data available on school key improvement indicators in order to assist with the robust self-evaluation and annual planning, implementation and continuous improvement cycle.</li> <li>Demonstrating highly effective facilitation skills during the school inquiry and review processes.</li> <li>Work with schools in the development of strategic actions lines in response to the Inquiry and Review Key Improvements which inform the school's next strategic planning cycle.</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">To be considered for this role, you will have the following experience, skills and knowledge:</p> <ul dir="ltr"> <li>University Degree in Education or Teaching.</li> <li>Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in a school.</li> <li>Experienced in leading staff in professional learning.</li> <li>Experienced in using data analysis to inform educational initiatives.</li> <li>Demonstrated success in implementing school wide improvements</li> <li>The ability to articulate contemporary educational trends in both local and international contexts.</li> <li>High order is written, oral and presentation skills</li> <li>Education Officers are required to be qualified and accredited teachers with NESA.</li> <li>Education Officers are required to operate at the Highly Accomplished or Lead level of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>The Process</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">To apply for this position please <a href="https://cgprod.phris.org.au/psp/CGPRD/EMPLOYEE/HRMS/c/HRS_HRAM_FL.HRS_CG_SEARCH_FL.GBL?Page=HRS_APP_JBPST_FL&amp;Action=U&amp;FOCUS=Applicant&amp;SiteId=2&amp;JobOpeningId=1451&amp;PostingSeq=1">CLICK HERE</a> and follow the prompts.</p> <p dir="ltr">Alternatively, if you are a current Sydney Catholic Schools Ltd employee, please <a href="https://prod.phris.org.au/psp/HRPRD/EMPLOYEE/HRMS/c/HRS_HRAM_EMP_FL.HRS_CG_SEARCH_FL.GBL?Page=HRS_APP_JBPST_FL&amp;Action=U&amp;SiteId=2&amp;FOCUS=Employee&amp;JobOpeningId=1451&amp;PostingSeq=1">CLICK HERE</a> to apply.<br><br></p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Working with Children Check</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">This role is classified as a child-related work endeavour and therefore we require a working with children clearance to be completed prior to your commencement with us.<br> <br> <br> </p>
