<p>Essential criteria:<br /></p><p> </p><ul><li>A sound knowledge and a commitment to the Church&#39;s mission in Catholic Education and a personal faith commitment; </li><li>Qualifications and accreditation to teach Religious Education according to SCS Policy; <br /></li><li>Registration to teach with NESA and SCS <br /></li><li>Demonstrate a high standard of proficiency, competency and enthusiasm as a classroom teacher </li><li>A willingness and the ability to work effectively in a contemporary learning environment as part of a professional learning community</li><li>Ability to integrate ICT into the teaching and learning programs to enhance improved student outcomes</li><li>Experience in catering for students with different abilities and needs, including the EAL/D and gifted learner</li><li>The ability to work as part of a team in developing school and classroom programs that include Learning Intentions, and clearly identified differentied Success Criteria</li><li>Enthusiasm for working with children, families and fellow teachers in a caring, nurturing Catholic community</li><li>A commitment to contributing to the development of whole school initiatives</li><li>Strong interpersonal, commmunication and organisational skills</li><li>A positive mindset, personally and professionally and be willing to contribute to a positive workplace environment </li><li>Be creative in their approaches to classroom pedagogy </li><li>Be able to work collaboratively with all stakeholders and be passionate about building strong community partnerships </li><li>Engage in further professional development as part of continued learning </li></ul><p> </p><p> Desired Knowledge and Skills </p><ul><li> Strong pedagogical practice in literacy and numeracy, including analysis of data </li><li> Knowledge and expertise in MEE an advantage </li><li> Knowledge and expertise in Gifted Education an advantage </li></ul>
