<p>Catholic Education Tasmania (CET) serves the mission of Jesus Christ by supporting parents in the integral formation and development of 16,000 students within a vibrant community of 2,500 staff across thirty-eight schools and colleges and the Tasmanian Catholic Education Office.&nbsp;</p> <p>This role provides an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of curriculum and pedagogical leadership during the extension to years 11 and 12 of our greater Hobart Catholic colleges and the state-wide review of years 9 to 12 education.</p> <p>CET is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates who are able to demonstrate a commitment to the Churches mission of Catholic education for the following position:&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Director: Learning and Teaching</strong></p> <p><strong>5-Year contract&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>This critical position reports to the Executive Director and provides leadership in Catholic belief and practice to improve professional practice for learning for all students.&nbsp;</p> <p>Candidates will be required to demonstrate:</p> <ul> <li>Promotion of the educational ministry of the Church in the Archdiocese of Hobart.</li> <li>Extensive knowledge and proven ability to lead evidence-based pedagogy, curriculum, and learning and teaching.</li> <li>Strategic capability to integrate state, national and global educational initiatives and developments.</li> <li>A successful history of driving strategic educator development programs and pastoral responses to enhance teacher efficacy for the enrichment of student outcomes, wellbeing and spiritual development.</li> <li>Exceptional senior leadership, relationship development and team building capabilities that develop collaboration and support of shared leadership across CET.</li> <li>Superior capabilities in interpersonal, planning, analytical and coaching skills to influence and engage with stakeholders for the enrichment of Catholic education.</li> </ul> <p>The successful candidate will demonstrate significant relevant experience and hold a Masters Degree (or equivalent) in education.</p> <p>A competitive remuneration and benefits package will be offered to the successful candidate.&nbsp;</p> <p>CET supports the rights of children and young people and is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment directed at ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
