<p><b>Working for Catholic Education Services, Cairns </b></p><p>The Catholic Education Community – Diocese of Cairns, is a partnership between Catholic Education Services and twenty-nine schools. There are nineteen primary schools, 2 Prep to Year 12 College, and six secondary Colleges. The 29th school is a Special Assistance School with campuses in Cairns and Cooktown, catering for disengaged young people in Years 7-12. Two new schools opened in 2016 in Weipa (P-6) and Mt Peter (P-12). </p><p><b>Purpose of the Role </b></p><p>As a Teacher you will: </p><ul><li>Plan, prepare and deliver effective learning and teaching programs </li><li>Contribute to the development and implementation of the school objectives and school planning </li><li>Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a supportive school environment </li><li>Teachers are accountable to and under the direction of the school Principal or delegate. </li></ul><p><b>Mandatory Qualifications &amp; Requirements </b></p><ul><li>Professional qualifications in Education </li><li>Registered or eligible to register with Queensland College of Teachers </li><li>Have experience in teaching classroom music, in particular to primary aged students; </li><li>Willingness to achieve Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School and Accreditation to Teach Religion in a Catholic School (Teachers of Religious Education) </li><li>Willingness to support and participate in the prayer, liturgy and sacramental life of the Church in the school community </li><li>Promote child safety at all times </li><li>Capacity to understand and implement Duty of Care and Workplace Health and Safety requirements. </li><li>Current drivers licence </li><li>A strong demonstrated commitment to the objectives, vision and ethos of Catholic Education</li></ul><p><b>How to Apply</b> </p><p>For further information and an application pack, please visit our website www.cns.catholic.edu.au </p><p><b>Applications close 5pm, Friday 13 November 2020 </b></p><p>Catholic Education is an equal opportunity employer. </p><p>Intending applicants must be fully committed to creating and maintaining a child safe organisation.</p>
