The College is seeking two passionate and skilled Certificate III trained educators, to join our growing Before and After School Care Centre team. The College has one Permanent Full-time and one Permanent Part-time (0.5 FTE) role available for an immediate start.

You will actively support the College’s Christian ethos. The Centre is open in the morning, 7.00am to 9.00am and in the afternoon, 2.30pm to 6.00pm. Vacation Care operates between 7.00am and 5.30pm during 7 weeks of non-term time each year.  </p><p>The College is seeking one Permanent Full-time and one Permanent Part-time (0.5 FTE) educator to join our Centre for an immediate start.</p><p><b> Key Responsibilities </b></p><ul><li> Direct responsibility for the management of a group of children, primarily Preparatory and Kindergarten </li><li>Assist the Co-ordinator with the planning and preparation of interesting, educational and fun activities for Preparatory to Year 6 children and provide feedback on activities </li><li>Ensure children are always safe and well-supervised </li></ul><p><b>General Responsibilities </b>(include but are not limited to): </p><ul><li>Active involvement in activities with children as directed by the Co-ordinator </li><li>Ensure equipment is utilised in a correct and safe manner and report any defects or damages to the Co-ordinator </li><li>Maintain a clean and safe environment before, during and after the completion of the session </li><li>Monitor the quantities of materials and resources and report to the Co-ordinator any projected needs </li><li>Refer all parent concerns to the Co-ordinator as appropriate </li><li>Prepare food for a light breakfast and afternoon tea in accordance with Food Safety guidelines </li><li>Complete relevant paperwork concerning physical injuries as required </li><li>Actively support and provide information to ensure the Centre meets National Quality Framework requirements </li></ul><p> </p><p><b>Skills / Knowledge / Attributes</b><br /></p><p> </p><ul><li>Regularly practicing member of a Christian church </li><li>A working knowledge of the National Quality Framework </li><li>A proactive attitude and the ability to multitask </li><li>Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team, problem solve and take initiative where required </li><li>Excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to students, staff and parents </li><li>A high degree of responsiveness and adaptability to changing priorities and/or work schedules </li></ul><p> </p><p><b>Qualifications / Experience </b></p><p> </p><ul><li>Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, as a minimum </li><li>Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a before and after school care centre or early childhood centre </li><li>Willing to support working towards the achievement of Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care </li><li>Current First-Aid Certificate </li><li>Current Anaphylaxis and Asthma training </li></ul><p> </p><p>To apply for this role, submit your Cover Letter, CV and <b>College Application form </b>(<i>which must form part of your application</i>) to <a href="mailto:employment&#64;wcc.nsw.edu.au" rel="nofollow">employment&#64;wcc.nsw.edu.au</a> by the closing date. </p><p> </p><p><i>William Clarke College is a child safe workplace; all successful candidates will be subject to a Working with Children Check prior to commencement. </i></p><p> </p><p>Applications for this role close <b><i>midday, Wednesday 7 October 2020</i></b></p>
