Our Lady of Mount Carmel Primary School, Wentworthville is looking for a skilled, contemporary and passionate Primary K-6 Teacher to be part of our school community in 2021 and enrich the lives of our students.

<p>Our Lady of Mount Carmel Primary School, Wentworthville is looking for a skilled, contemporary and passionate Primary K-6 Teacher to be part of our school community and enrich the lives of our students.</p> <p>Teachers within the Diocese are responsible to the Principal and share in the learning and teaching of subject matters to students of the school community. Teachers are responsible for delivering high quality contemporary learning and teaching for the community they serve which is embedded in the Catholic world view. It is a collaborative ministry of witness and service and part of the evangelising mission of the Church.</p> <p><strong>Position Criteria</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">The successful applicant will:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Have a sound knowledge of, and commitment to, the Mission of the Catholic school and possess relevant Religious Education qualifications.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Have a high standard of competency and proficiency as a teacher and be familiar with best practice, especially in developing the literacy and numeracy skills of students with learning difficulties.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Demonstrate knowledge of how to use targeted feedback and data to inform teaching and learning in order to create differentiated teaching programs that cater for the needs of all students, especially vulnerable students.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Communicate and work collaboratively in teams to plan, prepare, deliver and evaluate learning, including but not limited to individual student personalised plans.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Enable students to use information technology on a daily basis in order to enhance their learning.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Be committed to delivering a child-centred approach to education, where the students are actively engaged in the learning.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Be committed to ongoing professional learning as a member of a professional learning community.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Be willing to contribute to the broader aspects of school life.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">Training in EMU or Reading Recovery is an advantage but not required.</li> </ul> <p><strong>PLEASE INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING IN YOUR APPLICATION</strong></p> <ul> <li>A cover letter addressed to the Principal, Olimpia Pirovic, introducing yourself and your suitability for the position making reference to the criteria</li> <li>A CV outlining qualifications and experience</li> <li>The contact details of at least two referees</li> </ul> <p><strong>The Organisation</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta provides quality learning and teaching in a faith-centred environment across 83 primary and secondary schools and within early learning and out of school hours care centres in Western Sydney.&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr">This position involves working with children.
