St Francis Xavier College is seeking a Full-time Permanent full-time Student Coordinator commencing Term 1, 2021. This position attracts a 2 pt allowance. St Francis Xavier's College, Hamilton, is a comprehensive, co-educational Senior College catering to vibrant young adults across Years 11 and 12. The Student Coordinator provides assistance and support to the College Leadership team in: <br>• the day to day operation of the College <br>• promotion of the Catholic ethos of the College <br>• the promotion of an effective wellbeing program <br>• the implementation of the College's policies and procedures The Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle has an abiding commitment to promote the safety, welfare and wellbeing of children and vulnerable adults - particularly those who participate in the life of the Diocese. All employees are required to undergo a National Police Check and, where legislated, hold a Working with Children Check. Diocesan workers are expected to personally adopt and enact the Diocese’s Safeguarding Commitment Statement. <br> <h3>Essential Criteria:</h3> <br> • An understanding of, and a clear commitment to the philosophy and objectives of Catholic education and a significant capacity for involvement in the College's Religious Studies programme; <br>• A thorough knowledge of, a capacity and a willingness to initiate, manage and evaluate effective wellbeing programmes; <br>• A capacity to fulfil the requirements of a middle management position within a secondary school; <br>• A capacity and willingness to actively supervise and support staff within their area of wellbeing; <br>• A capacity for, and an ability to demonstrate effective liaison and communication skills; <br>• A high level of proficiency as a classroom teacher; <br>• An understanding of relevant procedures pertaining to Child Protection legislation; <br>• High levels of competency in record keeping and organisational skills; <br>• Proficiency in the use of technology as an organisational tool; <br>• A capacity to support staff in relation to the management of students in the classroom where issues arise across a range of subject areas. <br>• Practising Catholic with a current Parish Priest reference <br>• Willingness to comply or be compliant with the CSO Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead Policy. Category C – Accreditation for Leadership The applicant must provide evidence of the following: <br>• Qualifications as a four year trained teacher; <br>• Current NESA Accreditation; <br>• Current Paid Working with Children Check (WWCC)number; <br>• Completion of Anaphylaxis training. <br> <h3>Desirable Criteria:</h3> <br> <br> <h3>Renumeration:</h3> <br> Salary is in accordance with New South Wales &amp; Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2017.
