Cranbrook School is seeking an outstanding teacher of Drama for a full time position commencing as soon as possible, but ideally for the start of Term 4, 2020.

<p><b>ABOUT THE POSITION</b></p><p>Teaching responsibilities will include Stage 4, Stage 5 and/or Stage 6 Drama. </p><p> The successful candidate will be instrumental in implementing Co-curricular Drama outside of school hours, including directing productions. </p><p>For suitably experienced candidates, the role may include appointment as Assistant Head of Department – Drama. <br /></p><p><b>ABOUT YOU</b></p><p>You must have a sound understanding of the requirements of the New South Wales curriculum and the ability to inspire boys in their love of drama and the pursuit of excellence. </p><p>You will be an excellent communicator, creative, able to work well with boys, parents and other teachers and willing to take an active and enthusiastic part in the full life of the School, including one semester of co-curricular activities outside normal teaching hours. </p><p>In addition, you must: </p><ul><li>Hold tertiary qualifications required to teach Drama </li><li>Be NESA accredited to teach in New South Wales </li><li>Have experience teaching Stage 6 Drama </li><li>Have a minimum of three years full time teaching experience </li><li>Hold a genuine interest in the growth of young people </li><li>Be willing to be instrumental in implementation and development of Co-curricular Drama outside of school hours </li><li>Possess a sound understanding and knowledge of NSW Curriculum </li><li>Be highly organised and resourceful with the ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines </li><li>Have good attention to detail </li><li>Be able to communicate with people at all levels, with diverse backgrounds and a wide range of age groups </li><li>Have a collaborative approach to teaching and be able to work within a diverse and collaborative team </li><li>Be able to take ownership of tasks, demonstrate initiative and produce work of a consistently high standard </li><li>Have a commitment to continual professional development and reflection. </li></ul><p> Experience teaching within an IB framework, and experience in effective integration of ICT to deliver meaningful pedagogy, are desirable.  </p><p>Industry experience will also be highly regarded. <br /></p><p><b>PRE-EMPLOYMENT CHECKS </b></p><p>Cranbrook School is a child safe environment.
