The College seeks an experienced and qualified educator to fill the above role in a full time permanent position commencing January 2021.

<p>The successful applicant will have a depth of knowledge, experience and ability to teach Year 7 to Year 12. They will also have an excellent knowledge of NSW Syllabuses, assessment and reporting requirements, a thorough understanding of student welfare matters and a dedication to the profession of teaching. </p><p> </p><p>The Leader of House has a special responsibility for the growth and development of each and every student in the House. The Leader of House is assisted by Pastoral Care Teachers and is therefore required to lead and manage their development and performance. The Leader of House is crucial in fostering good relations and effective communication between families and the College. They must be a positive and proactive contributor to that team, as well as a competent administrator. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>A full position description is available on the College website <a href="http://www.eac.nsw.edu.au/about-us/employment/" rel="nofollow">http://www.eac.nsw.edu.au/about-us/employment/</a></p><p> </p><p>ESSENTIAL CRITERIA </p><p> </p><ul><li>Capacity and desire to contribute to the ethos of Emmanuel Anglican College </li><li>Passionate and experienced educator with an understanding of how students learn and the characteristics of highly effective classroom practice </li><li>Understanding of The Australian Student Well Being Framework and the Be You initiative and their implications for, and application to, schools </li><li>Experience working with students, families, staff and external stakeholders to develop plans and programs to support the welfare, well being and character development needs of students </li><li>Capacity to create initiatives to develop house spirit and identity in a vertical pastoral care structure </li><li>Outstanding communicative, organisational and administrative skills </li><li>Highly developed capacity to effectively lead a team </li><li>NSW Teacher Accreditation and a current WWCC </li></ul><p> </p><p>Essential Criteria forms a specific part of the selection process.
