<p dir="ltr"><strong>The School&nbsp;</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">Having commenced in 2017 with 86 students across Kindergarten to Year 6, St Luke’s at Marsden Park is a next generation learning community within the Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta (CEDP). As a ‘next generation Catholic Learning Community’ we are designing and establishing the ‘new normal’ for preschool to post school learning in an environment characterised by a flexible, stage based curriculum which nurtures and grows faith-filled, curious children to become creative contributors and innovative problem solvers for a changing world. In 2021, we will enrol over 1200 students from Kindergarten to Year 10 in addition to 59 children per day in our long day centre.</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Role Outline&nbsp;</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">The Stage Wellbeing Coordinator oversees the wellbeing for students across a stage of learning. Reporting directly to the relevant Head of School, liaising with the Allied Health and Wellbeing Leader and leading a team of Life Design Teachers, the Stage Wellbeing Coordinator plays a pivotal role as part of a team which encompasses elements of promotion, prevention and early intervention for wellbeing. Furthermore, they work closely with other Stage Wellbeing Coordinators and relevant teachers, coaches and mentors to advance the emerging <a href="https://gregmiller68.com/2020/09/15/a-wellbeing-ecosystem-the-elevator-pitch/">wellbeing ecosystem</a> throughout the College. In particular they:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">ensure the delivery of contemporary wellbeing initiatives through the analysis of data to support evidence-based practice.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">use data informed practices to initiate, program, implement and evaluate:</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">proactive programs for whole group and small group wellbeing initiatives;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">stage appropriate social skills programs;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">ensure a positive psychology approach to Life Design with each student’s passion and purpose.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr"><a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/1r3Ce_Cy3BcHUS4N8lK7tvrgjBwGtouU0/view?usp=sharing">teach Life Design</a> across the stage;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">direct the work of mentors, a central tenet of wellbeing in the secondary years;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">empower students to be increasingly independent and resilient.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">organise relevant wellbeing initiatives, including guest speakers.</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">Furthermore, the Stage Wellbeing Coordinator:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">liaises with the relevant Assistant Principal on matters of uniform and attendance,</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">manages serious matters of behaviour, often outside of classroom learning,</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">tracks data and responds proactively to ensure a safe and secure environment,</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">serious matters of behaviour, and,</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">works closely with parents, College counsellors and the Wellbeing Leader in a ‘wrap around’ approach to 1:1 support.</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">Please note: We plan for a term 4 commencement, although this is negotiable.
