We are seeking a permanent part-time Speech and Language Pathologist to improve the access, participation and achievement of students with a range of communication difficulties.

<p>We are seeking a permanent part-time <b>Speech and Language Pathologist</b> to improve the access, participation and achievement of students with a range of communication difficulties.  </p><p><b>Role Description</b> </p><p>As a Speech and Language Pathologist at Al Zahra College, you will provide professional advice and services which support students, families and teachers, including building the capacity of the school to improve the access, participation and achievement of students with a range of communication difficulties. </p><p><b>Duties </b></p><ul><li>Assess and diagnose communication disorders </li><li>Develop, implement, monitor and review treatment plans through one-to-one therapy, group work and in-class interventions.  </li><li>Liaise with other stakeholders including other health professionals, teachers and parents</li></ul><p><b>The successful applicant will have:</b>  </p><ul><li>Degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent as recognised by Speech Pathology Australia and eligibility for practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia. </li><li>Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) </li><li>Current First Aid/ CPR Certificate </li><li>Strong ability to work independently and engage with various school staff (ie., teachers, teachers’ aides, and school counsellors) </li><li>Professional, warm and empathetic approach </li><li>Excellent organisation and time management skills </li><li>Demonstrated high-level written and verbal communication, consultation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills </li></ul><p><b>How to Apply </b></p><p>Please apply in writing with a CV, covering letter and two references to: </p><p>Dr Wissam Mustapha, Headmaster </p><p>Email: careers&#64;azc.nsw.edu.au </p><p>Applications are open until the position is filled. </p><p> </p><p><i>Employment will be subject to providing evidence of a current and valid Working with Children Check. </i></p><p><br /></p>
