St Mary's is looking for a teacher to implement Maths Intevention with students requiring focused support from Year 1 - Year 4. The successful applicant will require a detailed knowledge of how children learn mathematics especially those experiencing difficulties. Previous experience implementing a successful Mathematics Intervention program will be seen as an advantage. The 0.5 allocation must be spread across at least 4 days.

A love of learning is fostered by staff across all areas of the curriculum as staff seek to further develop a supportive, stimulating, and technologically rich learning environment. <br /></p><p> St Mary&#39;s is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of the children in our care. </p><p>For this position the successful applicant will:</p><ul><li>work with small groups of children experiencing difficulties with number</li><li> work alongside classroom teachers to support these children</li><li> implement assessments and targeted programs to develop and extend number knowledge</li><li> be responsible for monitoring and reporting on students progress in Number</li></ul><p>Applicants require: </p><ul><li> a commitment to Catholic education </li><li>accreditation to teach in a Catholic School</li><li>an ability to work with a dedicated team to plan for teaching and learning </li><li>an understanding of contemporary teaching pedagogies with a specialty in Mathematics learning</li><li>experience with implementing a Mathematics intervention program, for example: F - 4 Number Intervention or E.M.U Program.</li><li>experience working with children with difficulties in Number. </li><li>experience with 1:1 Numeracy assessment interviews. </li><li>a passion for helping children with difficulties </li><li>effective interpersonal and organisational skills </li><li>a commitment to Child Safe Standards and the wellbeing of children </li><li>current VIT registration.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>-</p><p> </p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p>
