<p><strong>Please note: Interviews for successfully shortlisted applicants will be conducted on <span style="text-decoration: underline">22 October&nbsp;2020</span>.&nbsp; Applicants are only able to apply for Conditional Permanency in&nbsp;one cluster.&nbsp;&nbsp;Unsuccessful applicants for the Conditional Permanency Program may be considered for any upcoming temporary full time positions at the schools of this cluster. </strong></p> <p dir="ltr">A unique opportunity exists for temporary/casual primary teachers who are looking to attain permanent employment with Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong (CEDoW).</p> <p dir="ltr">A full time permanent K-6 teaching position will be available under the Conditional Permanency Program commencing 27 January 2021. The successful applicants will be appointed as Conditional Permanent Teachers (CPTs) attached to this cluster of schools. The successful applicants will be required to be available to fill full or part year temporary vacancies in schools within this cluster. CPTs will also be granted a preferential interview for appropriate permanent vacancies that become available within their cluster.</p> <p dir="ltr">Teachers who have already secured a temporary contract of employment for 2021 in a CEDoW school are still eligible to apply for conditional permanency.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.</li> <li>Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.</li> <li>Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning across all Key Learning Areas.</li> <li>Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.</li> <li>Implement effective teaching strategies in Literacy and Numeracy.</li> <li>Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.</li> <li>Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.</li> </ul> <p>The following GENERAL CAPABILITIES are applicable to the role:</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Well-developed interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Well-developed oral and written communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.</li> <li>Strong organisational skills.</li> </ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Appropriate qualifications for teaching Primary K–6.</li> <li>Accredited Level D to teach Religious Education in accordance with <strong>To Work, Teach and Lead</strong> policy or a commitment to gain this level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.</li> <li>The applicant must be accredited with NESA to teach in NSW.</li> </ul> <p>WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</p> <p>This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.</p> <p>POSITION APPLICATION&nbsp;</p> <p>Applicants are to complete an online application which asks to briefly address the essential criteria (equivalent to 2-3 pages).&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Supporting referees must include a Parish Priest and where possible a Principal, preferably of a Catholic school.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>To submit your Application please select the 'Apply Now' button at the bottom of this advertisement.</p> <p><strong>Closing date: 12 October 2020 at 5pm</strong></p>
