<p>We are currently recruiting for an experienced Learning Support Assistant who is able to work in small class groups and provide one to one educational and self-care needs for a student commencing Year 1 in Term 4, 2020. The position will continue into 2021 for the school year. </p><p><b><i>SPECIFIC CRITERIA </i></b></p><p>• Supportive, optimistic, reliable and flexible. </p><p>• Ability to work collaboratively and in an inclusive team in the School’s Learning Support model. </p><p>• Strong verbal and written communication skills. </p><p>• Ability to establish positive relationship with students, staff and parents. </p><p>• Ability to work with individual students, small groups and support students in whole class settings. </p><p>• Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development. </p><p>• Ability to accurately record, monitor and discuss children’s learning and communicate progress with Learning Support Teacher and Class Teachers. </p><p><b><i> DESIRABLE CRITERIA </i></b></p><p>• Knowledge and experience in learning technology to stimulate interest in students’ learning. </p><p>• Experience in working with students who have self-care needs. </p><p>• Certificate III, IV.</p><p> <i>All applicants for school support staff positions must submit a CV including details of three nominated referees and include a letter addressing the essential/specific criteria for the position and be emailed to the Principal – smd&#64;dbb.catholic.edu.au  </i></p><p><i> Further information about the Diocese can be found on our website: www.csodbb.catholic.edu.au.   </i></p><p><i> A six (6) month probationary period applies to this position .</i></p><p><i> Child Protection Legislation requires preferred applicants to be subject to employment screening .</i></p><p><br /></p>
