St Joseph’s Primary School Denman is seeking a temporary part time School Officer Learning Support to join the team for Term 4 2020. St Joseph’s Primary School is located in the small, thriving Upper Hunter town of Denman. Our School offers quality Catholic education for students from Kindergarten to Year 6 from the areas of Denman, Martindale, Sandy Hollow, Bureen and Jerrys Plains. The Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle has an abiding commitment to promote the safety, welfare and wellbeing of children and vulnerable adults - particularly those who participate in the life of the Diocese. All employees are required to undergo a National Police Check and, where legislated, hold a Working with Children Check. Diocesan workers are expected to personally adopt and enact the Diocese’s Safeguarding Commitment Statement. <br> <h3>Essential Criteria:</h3> <br> • Must have a competent level of literacy and numeracy; <br>• Must have an interest in the process of learning to read and understanding numeracy; <br>• Must have a cooperative nature and a kind manner and be capable of supporting children in their learning; <br>• Must be willing to support the ethos of the Catholic School; and <br>• Must be capable of working under supervision of the Learning Support Teacher and Classroom Teacher.
