The Westmead Catholic Community is a K-12 education precinct consisting of one primary school (Mother Teresa Primary) and two secondary schools (Catherine McAuley and Parramatta Marist). The ICT Services team provides high end customer support for all ICT Services and function areas to over 3,000 end users. There will be two positions on offer, one will be aligned to Catherine McAuley and the other to Parramatta Marist, whilst working as part of the Westmead Catholic Community ICT Services team.

There will be two positions on offer, one will be aligned to Catherine McAuley and the other to Parramatta Marist, whilst working as part of the Westmead Catholic Community ICT Services team.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Function Specific Accountabilities</strong></p> <p>As part of the mission of the Catholic Church in the Diocese of Parramatta, the Technical Support Officer is accountable for providing specialist technical support to the Westmead Catholic Community (WCC). They will be accountable for:&nbsp;</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>The ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team;</li> <li>The ability to follow direction, prioritise and meet set deadlines;</li> <li>Interpersonal skills in working with a range of personnel;</li> <li>Strong planning and organisation skills;</li> <li>Responding to requests to resolve level two network and systems issues;</li> <li>Quality in fulfilling assigned work;</li> <li>Participating in the deployment and delivery of various information technology projects;</li> <li>Auditing, maintaining and documenting the network, systems, and services;</li> <li>Providing technical direction for software upgrades, licensing, backup recovery, virus protection, printing systems, server maintenance procedures and network security;&nbsp;</li> <li>Being committed to providing support to those within the team to effectively deliver the teams identified strategy and as such assist with the support, delivery and coordination of the service functions.</li> </ul> <ul type="disc"> <li>Other tasks as delegated by the Leader, ICT Services.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Typical Experience and Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Postsecondary qualifications in the area of Information Technology;</li> <li>Demonstrated experience in a similar position, within the education sector desirable;</li> <li>Relevant professional certifications i.e. ITIL, CCNA.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>For further information relating to the role, to obtain a copy of the detailed role description or to have a confidential discussion, please contact Jake Ward (Leader, ICT Services) on <a href="mailto:jward17@parra.catholic.edu.au">jward17@parra.catholic.edu.au</a>.&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>The Organisation</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta provides quality learning and teaching in a faith-centred environment across 83 primary and secondary schools and within early learning and out of school hours care centres in Western Sydney.&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr">This position involves working with children.
