Moriah College invites outstanding leaders to apply for the position of Deputy Head of Teaching & Learning in our Primary School.

<p>The Opportunity </p><p>We are seeking applications from dynamic and experienced leaders who can lead a future focused educational program which supports the school&#39;s vision and values. </p><p>The Deputy Head of Teaching and Learning works in partnership with the Head of Primary to provide leadership in all aspects of teaching and learning of students across Years K-6. The successful applicant will have a sound knowledge of primary schooling and be at the forefront of 21st Century pedagogy. In addition, the person who fills this position will be recognised as an exemplary teaching practitioner and demonstrate excellence and cutting-edge practice in their own leadership journey and current or past classroom performance. </p><p>Successful applicants will bring: </p><ul><li>In-depth knowledge of how students evolve academically to access learning, acquire skills and understanding, and achieve varying levels of competence across KLAs. </li><li>High-level digital technology skills and a well-formed vision of how best to enact a future focused approach to education. </li><li>In-depth knowledge of a range of learning and investigative programs to progress the Inquiry/Deep Learning approach from K-6. </li><li>Demonstrated practice that links neuroscience with student learning and the acquisition of skills and understanding. </li><li>Experience and knowledge in the use of nature play to enhance student learning and essential interpersonal, problem solving and creative and critical thinking skills. </li><li>Experience in the generation and use of data to inform teaching and learning, and a sound understanding of the process. </li><li>Recognised leadership related to curriculum, pedagogy and practice, inclusive of the auditing and mapping of curriculum for implementation and delivery and identification of areas for further development in students and in professional practice. </li><li>PD and qualifications in the various domains which address different aspects of student development and approaches to education. </li><li>Documented experience and success in developing year level teaching and learning teams using frameworks and processes to facilitate team interaction, professional growth and effective implementation of a whole school narrative using specific pedagogy and practice. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to provide effective, collaborative, dynamic leadership in Learning and Teaching. </li></ul><p> </p><p>All appointments will be based on merit selection without reference to the religion of applicants.
