<p>The Director of Schools Diocese of Wollongong, invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced personnel for this permanent full time position with Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong (CEDoW) commencing 2 November 2020.</p> <p>The Catholic Education Office supports the system of Catholic schools throughout the Diocese of Wollongong. The Diocese boundaries incorporate the Sydney South West Growth Region, the Macarthur area, the Southern Highlands south to Moss Vale and the Illawarra coastal region from Helensburgh to Milton.</p> <p>The role of the Schools Properties Officer (Maintenance) is to provide maintenance and asset management support to schools within the Diocese to ensure the development of appropriate learning environments to enhance learning and teaching, including:</p> <ul> <li>Providing consultation, support and advice to relevant stakeholders in relation to asset management processes.</li> <li>The provision of advice and&nbsp;coordination to school principals regarding maintenance and refurbishment.</li> <li>Ensuring compliance with appropriate standards and guidelines.</li> <li>The management of the facilities asset register database for each school.</li> </ul> <p>ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA</p> <ul> <li>Computerised maintenance management system.</li> <li>Project Management including Scope Development.</li> <li>Ability to meet deadlines and work under limited direction.</li> <li>Condition assessment audits.</li> <li>Contractor Management.</li> <li>Current Drivers Licence.</li> <li>Exceptional organisational and time management skills.</li> <li>Ability to work collaboratively with school, parish and office personnel.</li> <li>Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, facilities management or asset management.</li> <li>Experience in construction, facilities management, design, building maintenance and/or project management, preferably in an educational context.</li> </ul> <p>DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA</p> <ul> <li>Degree in a building related discipline, engineering, facilities management or asset management.</li> </ul> <p><em>The Catholic Education Office is an agency of the Catholic Church called to stewardship and service in support of the system of Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Wollongong.
