The Catholic Schools Office is seeking a permanent full-time Education Officer – Compass Lead commencing in Term 1, 2021. The Compass Lead will provide leadership, support and guidance related to core Student Information System modules and will also support the operations of the Shared Service Finance Team in relation to Ancestry and the TechnologyOne finance platform for schools. This position will play an important role in providing product direction, assistance in making decisions, and presenting new ideas and business cases related to utilisation of the Student Information System across schools. As such, the Compass Lead will be a point of contact for handover of newly developed modules or components from the MNSIS Project Team or CEnet for incorporation into BAU activities.

The purpose of this position is to provide leadership, administration, management and direction to the Student Information System (Compass) for schools of the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle. With key performance areas including: <br>• Software Administration &amp; Support <br>• Product Management <br>• Product Leadership and Ctrol <br>• Process Improvement Data and informatioegrity This position will play an important role in providing product direction, assistance in making decisions, and presenting new ideas and business cases related to utilisation of the Student Information System across schools.&nbsp; As such, the Compass Lead will be a point of contact for handover of newly developed modules or components from the MNSIS Project Team or CEnet for incorporation into BAU activities. <br> <h3>Essential Criteria:</h3> <br> • Be appropriately qualified as a 4-year trained teacher with a minimum of 5 years teaching experience. <br>• Clear understanding of and personal commitment to the mission of Catholic schooling in the Diocese of Maitland Newcastle <br>• Ability to engage in substantive professional dialogue about curriculum, pedagogy and assessment <br>• Demonstrated experience in, and understanding of, school settings, processes and requirements <br>• Demonstrated leadership, initiative, communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to develop cooperative working relationships with a wide range of people and stakeholders <br>• Can evidence capacity working within prescriptive policy and legislative frameworks related to confidentiality, ethics and privacy <br>• Demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of training programs for adult learners <br>• Sound knowledge of Compass and/or alternate ‘Student Information Systems’ <br>• Capable in leading and supporting change across a broad user base <br>• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks efficiently <br>• Willingness to Comply or Compliance with the CSO Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead Policy.
