The College is seeking applications from committed Christians who have the ability and current training requirements to teach Stage 6 VET Hospitality courses. Wollondilly Anglican College has modern hospitality facilities and is located on 100 acres, less than an hour south of Sydney.

<p>The successful applicant will be registered with the New South Wales Educational Standards (NESA) and be accredited as Provisional, Proficient or an Experienced Teacher. The teacher will be responsible to the TAS Coordinator and work alongside highly competent, experienced and enthusiastic staff. They will be expected to have a knowledge and understanding of the NESA 7-12 TAS Curriculum. Experience in Stage 6 Hospitality is required or be fully trained ready to teach Stage 6. An ability and willingness to use a variety of teaching and learning techniques and to extend and provide for students according to their individual gifts and ambitions are essential. </p><p>The College has developed a reputation for five academic and pastoral distinctives – </p><ul><li>Education within a Christian framework </li><li>The Pursuit of Excellence, particularly academic excellence, supported by Sport and the Creative and Performing Arts </li><li>Pride in Belonging </li><li>Community engagement and involvement </li><li>Development of Christian morals, standards &amp; ethics in students (A Second Education) </li></ul><p>In order to achieve these distinctives the College has developed an Educational Framework which aims for a Wollondilly student to be: </p><ul><li>Purpose Driven </li><li>A Motivated Learner </li><li>Cared for and Caring </li><li>Self-Regulatory </li><li>Future Focused </li></ul><p>The successful applicant would be committed to the development of these distinctives and their associated framework. </p><p><b>Personal skills, attributes and expectations</b>: </p><p>It is expected that the Hospitality/TAS Teacher will: </p><ul><li>Be an active Christian who is involved in a local church </li><li>Have the ability and current training requirements to teach Stage 6 VET Hospitality courses </li><li>Have kept up with Hospitality industry currency and/or be able to maintain currency by completing industry hours and hold a recent Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment </li><li>Teach a variety of TAS subjects in a manner reflected in the syllabi designed by NESA </li><li>Be competent to teach all areas of the Stage 4 Mandatory Technology Course </li><li>Have a passion for the development of technology subjects in the College </li><li>Ideally have commercial kitchen teaching experience and an understanding of the importance of WHS </li><li>Be an enthusiastic and passionate educator </li><li>Incorporate evidence based pedagogy into their teaching and learning practices </li><li>Hold a current Working with Children Check </li><li>Understand and be able to demonstrate how they differentiate the curriculum </li><li>Understand and be able to effectively extend Gifted and Talented students </li><li>Foster staff cooperation and commitment </li><li>Conduct themselves with integrity, loyalty and honesty </li><li>Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the significance of ICT pedagogy in 21st Century education </li><li>Display high levels of organisational and communication skills </li><li>Be committed to collaboration across all levels within the College community </li><li>Demonstrate a willingness to contribute to co-curricular College activities.
