<p><b>Organisation </b></p><p>The Student Tutor Network provides academic support to vocationally talented students (e.g. dancers and athletes) who train full-time and complete their schooling via distance education. </p><p><b>Purpose of the role </b></p><p>Tutors/teachers provide tuition to students in a group or private setting. Academic assistance may include group instruction, private mentoring and/or guidance, subject-specific teaching and the development of independent learning skills. The Team Leader will be responsible for the ongoing supervision of all on-site tutoring activities, ongoing training of tutors, as well as liaison with dance school staff. </p><p><b>Reporting Relationship </b></p><p>You will be overseen by the STN Management Team and be expected to communicate with Management regularly. </p><p><b>Key Characteristics Required </b></p><p>Excellent communication skills </p><p>Professional and mature approach to roles </p><p>Ability to communicate effectively with both students, tutors and management staff </p><p>Proactive attitude and ability to take initiative </p><p>Patient, perceptive and understanding to students’ needs </p><p>An adaptable team player </p><p>Reliable and responsible </p><p><br /></p><p><b>Mandatory Requirements </b></p><p>Completed undergraduate level studies </p><p> Completed, or ongoing studies, in an education field </p><p>Either experience in, or passion for, education on all levels </p><p>A valid NSW Working with Children Check </p><p>Access to a regular and reliable source of internet (IOS, Android, PC, MAC) </p><p>Ability to travel to St. Leonards via personal, or public, transport </p><p><b>Hours </b></p><p>The Team Leader will work on a rotating roster Monday-Saturday, between the hours of 2.30-6.30pm.
