The Specialist Teacher is accountable for supporting CEDP's Strategic Intent of improving learning outcomes for all students and promoting a professional and rewarding working life for teachers.

<p>The Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta is seeking a K-6 teacher to be accountable for supporting the our Strategic Intent of improving learning outcomes for all students and promoting a professional and rewarding working life for teachers.</p> <p>The Specialist Teacher is accountable for:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr">Creating inclusive practice in school culture in relation to the effective implementation of personalised learning and adjustments for students with additional needs and disability</li> <li dir="ltr">Understanding and implementing the Personalised Planning process</li> <li dir="ltr">Providing specialised teaching support services to schools aimed at building teacher capacity using a gradual release model</li> <li dir="ltr">Providing expert advice to leadership teams, teachers and the wider system on matters related to specific disabilities and/or additional needs in accordance with CEDP guidelines</li> <li dir="ltr">Working collaboratively to ensure inclusion, access and participation and to maximise learning outcomes for students with additional needs</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">The&nbsp;successful&nbsp;applicant will be critical to the establishment of St Luke’s Arrunga, building a team of passionate staff designing a specialised curriculum in partnership with the Leading Teacher (St Luke’s Arrunga Coordinator) and teams across CEDP to ensure students receive adjustments specific to their learning needs. In an ongoing capacity, this role will be accountable for delivering strengths-based and solutions-focused personalised learning for students.</p> <p dir="ltr">The Organisation</p> <p dir="ltr">Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta provides quality learning and teaching in a faith-centred environment across 83 primary and secondary schools and within early learning and out of school hours care centres in Western Sydney.&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr">This position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment including the completion of a National Police Check, retention of a valid Working with Children Check and adoption and compliance with CEDP’s Child Safeguarding Procedures and Code of Conduct When Working With Students and Children.</p> <p dir="ltr">CEDP promotes the safety and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, and children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds.
