<p><b>About Good News Lutheran College </b></p><p>Good News Lutheran College is situated on 20 acres in Tarneit, approximately 30 kms from the Melbourne CBD and has landscaped gardens, recreational spaces surrounding classrooms and buildings. The College also has a gymnasium, chapel, and sports ovals, along with new and modern facilities for Technologies, Science and Arts. </p><p>Good News Lutheran College aims to provide an educational pathway for each student by focussing on strong Christian values. Staff are expected to be engaged and contribute in leading of devotion when asked to serve and specifically lead class devotions in pastoral care on days where students do not attend chapel or assembly. </p><p>The College has grown significantly from a small group of 24 students who commenced in 1997, to its first Year 12s graduating at the end of 2016, and the 1000&#43; students on campus today. </p><p><b>About the Role </b></p><p>The Teacher reports to the Principal of the College but will be directly responsible to the relevant Learning Area Coordinator for day-to-day operations. They are primarily responsible for the wellbeing of each individual student in their care and for the delivery of the Australian Curriculum through the IB framework using contemporary models of instruction. </p><p>The College is seeking a dedicated and committed teacher who has a passion for teaching to work as part of an energetic team committed to excellence in the classroom in the following area:</p><p><b><i>• Secondary Humanities Teacher - Desirable - Philosophy and Psychology</i></b></p><p> </p><p><b>Selection Criteria </b></p><p>• Teacher’s registration to teach in Victoria </p><p>• Qualifications supporting, and experience in, teaching the relevant subjects </p><p>• Commitment to the Christian Ethos of the College </p><p>• Have excellent relationship and communication skills </p><p> </p><p><b>Special requirements </b></p><p>• You will be subject to background checking, including reference checks and relevant regulatory checks </p><p> </p><p><b>The Recruitment Process </b></p><p>All applications will go through a shortlisting stage, after which all suitable applications will be progressed to the interview stage.
