Thomas Hassall Anglican College is a growing Pre-Kinder to Year 12 College of over 1700 students in the growing South West of Sydney. The College is located within close proximity to the M5 and M7.

<p>The College is seeking to employ an experienced educator and leader with a background in Secondary School education to start in Term 1, 2021. The right candidate will be able to gather, inspire and lead others, and have an expert understanding of 21st century learning and teaching. </p><p>She or he will be an active Christian who understands how to integrate faith and education in relevant and authentic ways. The best candidate will work with staff towards the improvement and innovation of the Academic Curriculum; Staff Mentoring &amp; Coaching; Operations and Policy; and Community Relations especially as these key programs relate to the Senior School.</p><p>The best candidate will be able to use data to inform best classroom practice; understand contemporary learning and pedagogy and have a proven track record of success in building and leading effective teams. </p><p><b>Key Selection Criteria</b> - the successful applicant for the above position must be able to provide evidence to support the following criteria: </p><ul><li>A well informed understanding of contemporary learning and teaching practices, research and pedagogy </li><li>Evidence of leadership of educational innovation and development of curriculum and assessment </li><li>Leadership in regards to the Professional Development program for Senior School Staff. Reviewing and improving the effectiveness of the delivery of Professional Development </li><li>A track record of success in building effective teams within and across departments/sections and functions of a school. Demonstrated critical analysis and problem solving skills, experience and commitment to collaborative leadership within a team environment </li><li>Demonstrated skills, experience and success in educational leadership, administration and organisation with the ability to manage time and competing priorities </li><li>Experience in leading cultural change and community development within a school environment </li><li>Overseeing the leadership of the established teams to facilitate the development, monitoring and implementation of the ‘Strategic Plan’ strategies </li><li>Excellent communication skills (written and oral) </li><li>Team leadership skills, including approachability; listening skills; conflict resolution; exercising sound judgement; and showing initiative </li><li>Strong personal Christian faith and be a regular and practising member of a Bible based Christian Church</li></ul><p><b>Qualifications </b></p><ul><li>Secondary Teaching qualifications.
