<p>The Director of Schools Diocese of Wollongong (CEDoW) invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced personnel for this permanent full time position based at John Therry Catholic High School, Rosemeadow commencing 12 October 2020.</p> <p>The positions exist to manage the Information Technology infrastructure and services for each school within the framework established for the Wollongong Diocesan school system. The Senior School Technology Officer provides services to schools under the direction of the Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong (CEDoW) ICLT Operations Manager in close, day-to-day consultation with and in response to School Principal.</p> <p>Applicants will be supportive of the ethos and mission of Catholic Education in the Diocese of Wollongong and understand the purpose of this position as ultimately serving the needs of the students and staff in our Catholic schools.</p> <p><br><strong>Key Accountabilities:</strong> <br>The Senior School Technology Officer will be responsible to the School Principal and be further managed by the CEDoW ICLT Operations Manager. This position involves:</p> <ul> <li>Managing the Information Technology services in the school including the data centre, printing, imaging, telephony, LAN design, wireless networking, PA system, digital signage and security cameras.</li> <li>Planning within the school environment which align with the CEDoW strategic IT direction.</li> <li>Providing leadership and supervision/mentoring of a junior staff member where required.</li> <li>Providing advise, training and support for ICT purchases including school AV installations.</li> <li>Providing advice and support in relation to email, School Student Information Systems, Learning Management Systems, MDM Systems and other services/systems.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Essential Criteria:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Have a Bachelor of Applied Science (Computing)/TAFE Diploma Computer Science or equivalent qualification.</li> <li>Have sound planning, organisational, communication and negotiation skills including superior prioritisation skills and the ability to adapt to changing technology and act proactively.</li> <li>Demonstrate an advanced understanding of Internet protocols and services in a large network environment incorporating proxy servers.</li> <li>Have solid conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills including high level fault finding and problem solving experience using various network tools.</li> <li>Have experience of MacOS, iOS, Chrome OS, Microsoft Windows OS, installing and management of workstation imaging and server builds.</li> <li>Communicates clearly, decisively and be an active member of the school community.</li> <li>Be able to empathise with users of ICLT who may be experiencing difficulties.</li> <li>Be reliable, punctual, and professional in dress and demeanour.</li> <li>Demonstrate an ability to develop and maintain positive relationships.</li> </ul> <p><em>The Catholic Education Office is an agency of the Catholic Church called to stewardship and service in support of the system of Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Wollongong.
