A strong relationship exists between the school and parish.   </p><p><b>INSTRUCTIONAL SPECIALIST | K-12 | 179 Students</b></p><p><b>Commencement Date: 27th January 2021</b></p><p><b>Closing Date: 11th September 2020</b></p><ul><li>Are you a self-motivated and innovative Educator?</li><li>Can you provide instructional strategies to influence change in teaching practices?</li><li>Are you energised by creating experiences that challenge schools, students, teachers and parents to achieve and grow in ways they never thought possible? </li></ul><p>The Instructional Specialist role is a 0.5FTE classroom teacher performing at the level of an exemplary classroom practitioner and a 0.5FTE role within the school modelling classroom practitioner excellence, improving learning outcomes and bringing about change in the instruction of teachers K-6. The Instructional Specialist is a member of the school leadership team</p><p>The Instructional Specialist is required to perform tasks which include but are not limited to:</p><ul><li>Strong teaching capability proven through meeting all aspects of the proficient teacher in the Australian Professional Standards and operating at the level of a highly accomplished/lead teacher in accordance with the NESA teaching standards (although they may not formally hold this accreditation).</li><li>Demonstrating exemplary classroom teaching practice in their own classroom teaching.</li><li>Setting standards, build teacher capacity (with extra focus on early career teachers) and support school-wide improvement.</li><li>Support and demonstrate high impact teaching strategies (HITS) used by teachers to craft lessons that provide the right amount of support and challenge for every student.</li><li>Understand and implement high quality, evidence-based instruction that meets students&#39; needs within their zone of proximal learning development and has clear SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time-based) goals.</li><li>Coach, mentor and model excellent teaching practice to peer teachers within the school in the instruction.</li><li>Analysing data and trends within the school to identify areas for growth.</li><li>Strong capabilities to lead adult learning (including emotional intelligence).</li><li>Developing future Instructional Specialists.</li></ul><p>Please click on <a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/1F_S0CHvLfjw1i9o3cadgHgnhSn97uWTb/view" rel="nofollow">Role Description</a> to read a detailed description of this position.</p><p><b>WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</b></p><p>This role is classified as a child-related work and therefore we require a working with children clearance to be completed prior to your commencement with us. </p><p><br /></p>
