<p>Applications are sought from suitably qualified Learning Support Officers to support young students with a range of diverse learning needs in the classroom.</p><p>School learning support officers, under the supervision and direction of a teacher, assist in classroom activities, school routines, and the care and management of students with special needs.</p><p>The role includes assisting teachers in school to:<br /></p><ul><li>implement individual adjustment programs (IAPs)<br /></li><li>provide opportunities for students to develop personal, social, independent, living and learning skills</li><li>attend to the personal care needs of students</li><li>operate technology based learning applications, duplicating, issuing learning materials and clerical duties</li><li>maintain a neat and orderly learning environment.</li></ul><p>The advertised role is for 11 hours per fortnight. Opportunities also exist for casual Learning Support Officer employment.</p>
