Learning Support Teacher - 0.6FTE Term 4 (12 October to 17 December 2020)

<p>Champagnat Catholic College is seeking a qualified and experienced teacher to join the Diverse Learning Needs Department, who has demonstrated a capacity to support classroom practitioners and the ability to work with students who have a variety of learning needs and or disabilities. </p><p>Essential Criteria:</p><ul><li>Commitment to Catholic education, a clear understanding of the vision and mission of Catholic Schools and a willingness to support the faith formation of students. </li><li>Appropriate tertiary qualifications and approval to teach in NSW.</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of the Disability Standards for Education (2005) and the adjustments needed to enable student’s access to achieving outcomes of each syllabus. </li><li>An understanding of and ability to assist with the differentiation of curriculum and assessment.</li><li>Highly developed interpersonal skills demonstrating an ability to effectively communicate with parents, students, staff and medical practitioners.</li><li>Exhibit knowledge of emerging technologies and the ability to integrate these into a wide range of curriculum applications </li><li>Ability to critically reflect on their own teaching practice.</li><li>A willingness to be involved in the College’s co-curricular activities. </li></ul><p><br /></p>
