<p>Significant Duties:</p><p>Work collaboratively with appropriate college staff and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and their families in the area of:</p><ul><li>Success at school for students</li><li>Provide cultural support to Aboriginal students at the school</li><li>Support the learning outcomes for aboriginal students by: <br />- Assisting with student organisation for completion of assessment tasks<br />- Providing in class and withdrawal support for the students based on learning needs in specific subject areas in collaboration with appropriate college staff<br />- Contribute to Aboriginal students personalised learning plans in collaboration with appropriate college staff<br />- Liaise with parents and guardians of Aboriginal students and encourage and support their  involvement in school programs</li><li>School attendance<br />- Monitor student attendance and refer concerns to appropriate college staff<br />- Liaise with parents and guardians where attendance is a concern</li><li>Behavioural expectations<br />- Support positive students behaviour<br />- Where necessary contribute to student behaviour plans in consultation with appropriate college staff</li></ul><p>Child protection legislation requires the applicant has a current Working with Children Clearance.</p>
