Cranbrook School is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic specialist teacher of French for a long service leave cover fixed term contract for Term 4, 2020. Knowledge of the PYP programme would be an advantage but is not essential.

<p><b>ABOUT YOU</b><br /></p><p>The successful applicant will have a sound understanding of the requirements of the New South Wales curriculum and the ability to inspire boys in their love of French and pursuit of excellence. </p><p><b>Key Selection Criteria </b></p><p>Applicants must be excellent communicators, creative, able to work well with boys, parents and other teachers and willing to take an active and enthusiastic part in the full life of the School, including co-curricular activities outside normal teaching hours. </p><p>Applicants must: </p><ul><li>Hold tertiary qualifications required to teach primary French </li><li>Be NESA accredited to teach in New South Wales </li><li>Have a minimum of three years full time teaching experience. </li><li>Highly organised, attention to detail, resourceful and have an ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines </li><li>Ability to communicate with people at all levels, with diverse backgrounds and a wide range of age groups </li><li>Ability to work within a diverse and collaborative team </li><li>Must be able to take ownership of tasks, demonstrate initiative and produce work of a consistently high standard </li><li>A commitment to continual professional development and reflection </li><li>A genuine interest in the growth of young people </li><li>Sound understanding and knowledge of NSW Curriculum </li><li>Experience teaching within an IB framework is highly desirable </li><li>Experience teaching French to students ages 3 – 12 years advantageous </li><li>Experience in effective integration of ICT to deliver meaningful pedagogy is desirable. Cranbrook currently uses Canvas as its LMS as well as a variety of other software. </li></ul><p><b>PRE-EMPLOYMENT CHECKS </b></p><p>Cranbrook School is a child safe environment.
