The Specialist: Online Learning and Media role focuses on designing and developing evidence- based, innovative and best practice blended learning content for schools ensuring a learner-centred approach across a range of learning platforms, technologies, tools and modes.

At the heart of all we do are our core values of <strong>empathy, curiosity, excellence, collaboration and truth</strong>.<br> <br> The Specialist: Online Learning and Media role focuses on designing and developing evidence- based, innovative and best practice blended learning content for schools ensuring a learner-centred approach across a range of learning platforms, technologies, tools and modes.</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Major Accountabilities:</strong><br> The <strong>Specialist: Online Learning and Media</strong> is required to perform tasks which include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Lead the strategy for and manage the online presence of the Education and Research Directorate providing data to demonstrate impact.</li> <li>Lead the strategic development and promotion of campaigns to promote initiatives of Education and Research portfolio through various online platforms and media channels.</li> <li>Serve as a subject matter expert, handling inquiries and developing action plans to address them, and assisting with the preparation and dissemination of communications.</li> <li>Establish, develop and evaluate approaches to content design and development including partnering with schools in the delivery of co-design initiatives for program content ensuring the application of human-centred design approaches, managing user testing sessions and collaborating with external providers to test content design and conduct research into best practice.</li> <li>Establish and implement instructional design principles, standards and guidelines into all content design initiatives, incorporating best practice approaches to instructional and user experience design to improve learner accessibility with learning programs.</li> <li>Design tailored and innovative approaches to learning based on the unique circumstances and needs of schools given the diverse operating context and geographical spread to ensure alignment with school needs, operating parameters and capability.</li> <li>Assuming day-to-day responsibility for projects and tasks.</li> <li>Creating and maintaining cross-departmental relationships to enable leadership success.</li> <li>Improve current processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity.</li> <li>Ability to respect, support and uphold the mission, ethos and teachings of the Catholic Church and the values of Sydney Catholic School.</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Essential Criteria</strong><br> To be considered for this role, you will have the following experience, skills and knowledge:</p> <ul dir="ltr"> <li>University Degree in specialist area.</li> <li>Demonstrated success in implementing system or school wide initiatives.</li> <li>Experienced in using data analysis to inform educational initiatives.</li> <li>Ability to articulate contemporary educational trends in both local and international contexts.</li> <li>High order written, oral and presentation skills.</li> <li>Postgraduate qualifications in education, teaching or leadership.</li> <li>A minimum of 10 years experience in teaching and/or leadership roles.</li> <li>Experience in implementing and leading successful innovation.</li> <li>Experience in leading change management and policy implementation.</li> <li>Experience in the facilitation of adult professional learning.</li> <li>Demonstrated capacity to select and support the development of innovative and effective pedagogies, including virtual learning.</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Application Process</strong><br> Please apply via <a href="https://cgprod.phris.org.au/">https://cgprod.phris.org.au</a> and follow the steps to complete your application and be considered for this opportunity.</p> <p dir="ltr">If you have any questions about the role, please contact the recruitment team via hr.recruitment@syd.catholic.edu.au</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Working with Children Check</strong><br> This role is classified as a child-related work endeavour and therefore we require a working with children clearance to be completed prior to your commencement with us.<br><br></p>
