SSO - Resource & Communications Officer

<p>St Clare’s College is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced and qualified person for the exciting new role of Resource and Communications Officer - School Support Officer to commence during Term 3, 2020. Starting date is negotiable. This is a temporary full time position (8.00am - 4.00pm) until the end of 2020 with every possibility of the position becoming permanent.<br /></p><p><b>About the role<br /></b>The Resource and Communications Officer is a position of responsibility involving the overseeing of the promotional and communications administration of the College including the administration of the Library known as ‘The Hub’. The person must demonstrate strong support for the vision and ministry of Catholic Education and assists the Principal in facilitating the promotion of the College both internally and externally.  </p><p> The position will involve a variety of responsibilities as directed by the Principal. This position also works with the Leader of Information Literacy &amp; Innovation and at times, with the ICT Support Officer.   </p><p><b>Duties include but may not be restricted to: </b></p><ul><li>Able to use a variety of means to effectively communicate newsworthy information and news to all stakeholders.</li><li>Use digital and social media to assist the College in attracting and engaging stakeholders via the use of various communication strategies and applications.</li><li>Assist staff and students with enquiries as required in the Hub.</li><li>Manage The Hub’s physical and digital resources. </li></ul><p> <b>The Resource and Communications Officer must demonstrate the ability to: </b></p><ul><li> Understand and appreciate the Catholic ethos and the relationship of St Clare’s with the wider church. </li><li>Work autonomously with minimal direction to set deadlines and timeframes. </li><li>Interact positively with a helpful and cooperative approach to students, staff, external agencies and members of the public. </li></ul><p><b>Essential Qualifications, Skills &amp; Experience Required: </b></p><ul><li>Post-secondary administration or other relevant qualification equivalent to Certificate III or IV, or a Diploma in Administration, Business Services or equivalent. </li><li>HSC or equivalent </li><li>Minimum of 3 years’ experience in administration/professional support in a face-paced business support setting. </li><li>Confident computer literacy especially on the Google platform. </li><li>High organisational skills, the capacity to multi-task, maintain attention to detail and meet deadlines. </li><li>Demonstrate initiative.  </li><li>A flexible and service orientated approach.  </li></ul><p>This position is classified as child related employment.
