<p>Lorien Novalis is a creative and dynamic community of students, teachers, parents and administrators. Next year, 2021, the school will have offered Steiner Education to the students and education environment of NSW for 50 years. Over this time the school has grown into a strong, creative and individual voice for Steiner Education in Australia and the world. </p><p>The school is located on 16 beautiful acres of gardens and bushland in the Hills District of Sydney and offers learning opportunities based in Steiner Pedagogy for Playgroup to Year 12, teacher education through Novalis College and parent education through the Parent College and the Novalis Anthroposophical Group. We promote a learning community. </p><p>The Head of School is a key role in the cohesion of all stakeholders and the successful candidate for this position will be a passionate, personable, approachable individual, an enthusiast and advocate for opportunities for young people. </p><p>Lorien Novalis is a single stream school of approximately 300 students with a staff of 40 employees. </p><p>The Head of School would demonstrate a strong capacity of leadership for this vibrant team and would develop and implement the strategic plan in collaboration with the Board of Directors and the College of Teachers. </p><p>It is a requirement that the applicant have a very high regard for and promotion of the ethos and values of the school and the capacity to demonstrate the interpretation of Steiner philosophy through the implementation of structure and governance of the school. </p><p>This position will be based on an initial 3 year contract and the remuneration package will be determined by qualification, experience and negotiation. </p><p>Applications close on 31st August 2020.
