St Bede’s High School, Chisholm is seeking a Full-time Permanent Creative & Performing Arts Coordinator commencing in 2021. This position attracts a 2 points allowance (paid & time) in addition to the base salary. St Bede’s Catholic College, in the recently-established suburb of Chisholm, is a new co-educational Catholic secondary school that is part of the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle. The College opened in 2018 and will eventually cater for 1,100 students in Years 7 to 12. In 2021 the College will have approximately 540 Year 7-10 students, with the first Year 12 cohort to graduate in 2023. The Creative & Performing Arts Coordinator is a member of the College’s Learning/Wellbeing Team, which comprises the Principal, Assistant Principals and other Coordinators. As a member of this team, the Coordinator will offer support in the: • Day to day operation of the College; • Promotion of the Catholic ethos of the College; • Leader of learning within a contemporary, dynamic and engaging learning culture; • Implementation of relevant policies and procedures.

• A relevant understanding of the philosophy of Catholic Education; <br>• Ability to teach in the relevant curriculum area/s; <br>• High level knowledge of the relevant key learning area/s and a proven capacity to improve student learning; <br>• A capacity and willingness to actively lead, manage and support staff within their Key Learning Areas. <br>• Effective classroom management and teaching skills which enable students with a diverse range of needs to achieve their full potential; <br>• Ability to successfully implement and evaluate curriculum initiatives in accordance with curriculum and standards framework; <br>• Demonstrated capacity to reflect critically upon professional practice and commitment to ongoing professional learning; <br>• Commitment and capacity to actively contribute to a broad range of College activities as a member of the College Learning/Wellbeing Team; <br>• Collaborative development and continual review of quality teaching and learning programs; <br>• A capacity for, and ability to demonstrate, effective liaison and communication skills; <br>• High level of interpersonal skills to develop positive relationships with students, school staff and the wider community. <br> <h3>Essential Criteria:</h3> <br> • Current NESA Accreditation and Paid Working With Children Check (WWCC); <br>• Qualifications as a four year trained teacher; <br>• Completion of Anaphylaxis training; <br>• Willingness to Comply or Compliance with the CSO Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead 2018 and willingness to work towards the Current Accreditation at Category C – Accreditation for Leadership. <br> <h3>Desirable Criteria:</h3> <br> <br> <h3>Renumeration:</h3> <br> Salary is in accordance with New South Wales &amp; Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2017.
