Newly created Deputy Principal role with respected co-educational independent school, Good News Lutheran College.

<p>Good News Lutheran College is situated on 20 acres in Tarneit, approximately 30km South West of the Melbourne CBD. The College has grown significantly from its opening in 1997 with its first class of Year 12s graduating at the end of 2016. Student enrolments now exceed 1,000 with significant wait lists for all year levels. Due to continued growth, the position of Deputy Principal has been created as part of the senior leadership team. Reporting directly to the Principal, the role will significantly contribute to the College’s continued success. </p><p> Key responsibilities of this pivotal strategic and operational role include: </p><ul><li>overseeing and developing programs and processes which effectively deliver best practice curriculum for the College; </li><li>promoting continuous improvement in student engagement and learning; </li><li>demonstrating a visionary approach to teaching and learning through a culture of coaching; </li><li>providing advice to the Principal and College Council and proactively contributing to the College’s strategic plan; </li><li>leading, motivating, developing and managing the dedicated staff across a large and complex organisation; </li><li>in conjunction with the Principal and Executive Team, reviewing staffing needs and initiating staff recruitment; </li><li>establishing effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders; </li><li>overseeing the development of the College timetable and ensuring the appropriate allocation of teachers; </li><li>managing the day to day running of the College and teaching at least one class. </li></ul><p> Applications are encouraged from appropriately qualified and experienced individuals with excellent communication, public presentation, leadership, mentoring, coaching, strategic planning and change management skills complemented by warmth, integrity and authenticity. A genuine motivation to embrace the Christian ethos of the College will be vital as will the energy and passion necessary to engage with, champion and inspire the College community. </p><p><br /></p>
