Teachers within the Diocese are responsible to the Principal and shares in the learning and teaching of subject matters to students of the school community. Teachers are responsible for delivering high quality contemporary learning and teaching for the community they serve which is embedded in the Catholic world view. It is a collaborative ministry of witness and service and part of the evangelising mission of the Church.

<p>The Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta is looking for a skilled, contemporary and passionate <span>&nbsp;R3 Reading Intervention Specialist Teacher&nbsp;</span>to be part of our school community and enrich the lives of our students.</p> <p><strong>Key focus areas</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">The R3 program provides at risk stage 4 students with the knowledge and skills that will enable them to achieve stage 4 literacy outcomes in reading. This intervention will help teachers to administer to and assess students by selecting and planning appropriate lessons.</p> <p dir="ltr">The R3 teacher will meet the following criteria as a member of the Diverse learning team, this role provides learning support in the way of literacy and reading to students and works collaboratively with other members of the Diversity team.&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">The teacher provides specialist assistance and resources to identify students</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Provides support to students using R3 strategies in small groups</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Has the ability to work effectively as part of a team and has well developed interpersonal and communication skills</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Must have teaching qualifications</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">Please respond to the above selection criteria in your cover letter</p> <p dir="ltr">The Successful Candidate will also possess the following skills and or experience</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Sound knowledge of and commitment to our Catholic faith and Mission in Catholic Education</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Effective interpersonal skills and collaborative teamwork</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">High quality classroom teaching skills which enable students with a diverse range of needs to achieve their full potential</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Ability to successfully implement initiatives in accordance with curriculum and standards framework.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Previous experience in delivering programs to students with diverse needs would be advantageous.</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">All applications are to include a cover letter, curriculum vitae and three current professional referees.
