<p>Eileen O’Connor Catholic College, Lewisham is a co-educational primary and secondary Sydney Catholic School’s college. The college opened in 2016 to meet the needs of students with moderate intellectual disability and other complex learning needs and currently has an enrolment of approximately 100 students in Years K-12. In future years the College will incorporate an Early Intervention Centre, a Centre for Professional Learning and a network of primary and secondary classes in Sydney Archdiocesan schools and colleges. Applicants wishing to know more about the college can access the school’s website https://eocc.nsw.edu.au/ </p><p>We are seeking to employ a School Support Officer (Level 4) with experience in a primary or secondary school setting. </p><p>Primary Duties:</p><p> A wide range of professional support, administration, secretarial and clerical duties;</p><p>Assisting with basic follow up of Work Health and Safety (WHS) issues and implementation of WHS management system, including checking licenses of onsite contractors;</p><p>Undertaking reception and general office duties;</p><p>Responding to enquiries from students, parents, employees, and the general public;</p><p>Assisting with the management of the school office;</p><p>Providing administrative support to school executive, including arranging appointments, diaries and preparing both confidential and general correspondence;</p><p>Assisting with the preparation of internal and external publications including school websites, newsletters and other media;</p><p>Providing assistance in various financial management tasks, including preparation of school budget, school fees, monthly reconciliation of finance accounts and GST reports, annual finance and administration rollover;</p><p>Dispensing medications according to the school’s Medication Policy;</p><p>Supervision of, and care for, students in the office sick bay;</p><p>Assisting with the coordination of school functions and events;</p><p>Maintaining communication systems and equipment; and</p><p>Managing and developing the school website and intranet.</p><p><br /></p><p>Essential Criteria:</p><p>Demonstrated commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education;</p><p>Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships with students, families and college staff;</p><p>Working with Children Check Clearance to be obtained prior to commencement in paid employment; and</p><p>First Aid Certificate or agreement to undertake.</p><p><br /></p>
