The College is seeking a Learning Enhancement & Diversity Leader who is responsible for the coordination of support to student with additional needs.

<p>St Bernard’s is a vibrant learning community providing holistic boys’ education with a strong focus on academic excellence. </p><p> </p><p>The College is seeking a Learning Enhancement &amp; Diversity Leader who is responsible for the coordination of support to student with additional needs. The main responsibilities of the position include: </p><p> </p><ul><li>Planning, chairing and actioning items from PSG meetings; </li><li>Develop NCCD compliant learning profiles, plan and support the implementation of evidence-informed teaching; </li><li>Provide leadership and coaching to mainstream teachers whose students with additional needs require reasonable adjustments that match their ILP. </li><li>Coordination of all learning support officers; </li><li>Liaison with primary schools to ensure smooth transition into year 7;</li><li>Create Individual Learning Plans for funded students; </li><li>Liaise with external bodies in the provision of screening, testing and support for students who have additional needs’ </li><li>Formation of support strategies for students; </li><li>Monitoring and catering for the needs of students with physical disabilities; </li><li>Assist staff to differentiate and accommodate students who have additional needs; </li><li>Other duties as outlined in the Position Description. </li></ul><p> </p><p>The successful applicant will have a teaching qualification and demonstrate the following competencies: </p><p> </p><ul><li>Demonstrated understanding of the pastoral care needs of students in a Catholic secondary school for boys. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to lead a team. </li><li>Experience and understanding of the major issues impacting upon the education of boys. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to successfully develop innovative curricular and co-curricular initiatives that enhance educational outcomes for students with additional needs. </li><li>Strong administration and organisational skills. </li></ul><p> </p><p>A detailed position description is available on the College website at www.sbc.vic.gov.au. </p><p> </p><p>Please complete an online application at www.sbc.vic.edu.au/about/employment by 7 February 2020. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p><i>The College is committed to the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children, including those with a disability and cultural diverse backgrounds. </i></p><p><br /></p>
