This role will facilitate, support and enhance student learning, covering the current curriculum. It is expected that all Subject Teachers have a broad and deep understanding of their subject specific content. </p><p> </p><p>Responsibilities of the role will include: </p><ul><li>Help to develop a stimulating learning environment by using a variety of styles and approaches to cater for individual learning needs </li><li>Utilise appropriate pedagogical practices to expand the growth of individual students across academic, spiritual and emotional fields and employ a variety of strategies to effectively implement the curriculum </li><li>Actively participate and engage in the School’s pastoral care system which reflects Loreto values </li><li>Implement strategies and expectations which promote a positive learning environment</li><li>Provide students with a child-safe environment </li><li>Assist with curriculum development in collaboration with colleagues and the department Head </li><li>Participate actively in all aspects of school life beyond the classroom including sport, positive and/or cultural activities </li></ul><p> </p><p><br /></p><p><b>About You </b></p><p> </p><p>To be successful in this position, it is essential that you have: </p><ul><li>Teaching Qualifications in Primary Education </li><li>Current Teaching Registration (Victorian Institute of Teaching) </li><li>Proven expertise and knowledge in Teaching Music </li><li>An innovative and engaging approach to relevant area of teaching </li><li>A demonstrated understanding and appreciation of principles and practices of student learning strategies and styles </li><li>Excellent communication skills to a range of audiences </li><li>A collaborative approach with colleagues in planning and delivering curriculum </li><li>Proven experience in establishing and fostering relationships with students, staff and parents</li><li>Excellent time management and organisational skills </li><li>Demonstrated desire to apply a growth mindset to professional development </li><li> Current First Aid Certification (Asthma and Anaphylaxis accredited), would be preferable </li></ul><p> </p><p><br /></p><p>This position is fixed term, for 1 Term.
